As you know, Tom Petty has been in a long standing battle with multiple serious health problems. He is not improving as he would like. He plans to continue to be in his office every morning, go to the Fellows' clinics and conferences, and continue to write. While he doesn't want to cause undo alarm he did say it was okay to let people know that he is having trouble. In the past he has deeply appreciated the caring and the prayers you made in his behalf. He strongly believes all these prayers and good wishes have helped account for his almost miraculous improvements in the past. He does not want sympathy, or cards, but will deeply appreciate any prayers on his behalf you again would care to make.
